RE-POINTING -
Re-pointing or brick-pointing is the process of cleaning out the mortar joints just like tuck-pointing. Once the cleaning of the mortar joint has been completed the pointing begins.
The pointing is injected in using special pointing equipment. There are many colours of mortar that can be chosen to suit any brickwork. After the new mortar has been injected the tooling off process can begin.
There are different types of finishes that can be used such as flush, racked, joint and strut. When the selected finish has been achieved a sponge is used to give the perfect finish and once dry the brickwork is then cleaned for a final time.
If you are unhappy with your current mortar colour you can use repointing to change the look of your home by chosing a diffrent colour to freshen up the look of you home.
Re-pointing will fill and seel your existing brick-pointing and can stop internal dampness.
